Director of Digital Technologies & Sciences Division and Head of AI for Draper

Troy Lau leads Draper’s software, AI, and data innovation ecosystem, overseeing a division of 150+ engineers across nine groups spanning AI/ML, UI/UX, digital engineering, mobile, web, DevOps, and enterprise software. He manages operations for mission critical software technologies to the DoD, Intelligence Community, NASA, commercial partners, and biomedical customers. As Draper’s Head of AI, he leads Draper’s enterprise AI transformation and is driving the rollout of enterprise AI and LLM tools across all functions to accelerate innovation, improve decision-making, and ensure responsible, secure adoption of next generation capabilities.

Meet Dr. Erin Solovey

Associate Professor of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Dr. Erin Solovey is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and was a summer fellow at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction and human-AI interaction, exploring how people and intelligent systems work together in both high-stakes and everyday environments. Erin will share her latest study and the fascinating implications of AI/Human collaboration. She is a graduate of Harvard University’s computer science program, and earned her PhD at Tufts University in Human/Computer Interaction.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, product leadership, entrepreneurship, and customer success, Matt works with organizations and service providers to improve security operations, reduce cyber risk, and prepare for evolving regulatory requirements.

Meet Derek Boczenowski

Chief Architect with Compass IT Compliance

Derek Boczenowski is Chief Architect with Compass IT Compliance. Derek has over 20 years of IT experience in a variety of vertical markets, including financial services, higher education, and state/local government. Prior to joining Compass IT Compliance, Derek was the VP of Technology for a credit union in Massachusetts with approximately $700M in assets under management. With an MBA in Technology Management as well as industry leading certifications, such as being a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Derek works with clients of all sizes and in all vertical markets to help them identify gaps in their IT security strategies and provide relevant, attainable solutions to ultimately mitigate their overall risk.
