Meet James McQuiggan​, CISSP, SACP

Security Awareness Advocate at KnowBe4

James McQuiggan has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity. He is currently a Security Awareness Advocate for KnowBe4, where he is responsible for amplifying the organization’s messaging related to the importance of, effectiveness of and the need for new-school security awareness. McQuiggan is a part-time Faculty Professor at Valencia College in the Engineering, Computer Programming & Technology division.

Additionally, he is the President of the Central Florida (ISC)2 Chapter and a Trustee Board member with the Center for Cyber Safety and Education. McQuiggan previously worked as a product & solution security officer, information security analyst and a network security engineer for Siemens.

Meet Emilee Tellez

Technologist for Product Strategy at Veeam Software

Emilee Tellez is a Technologist for Product Strategy at Veeam Software. She has 10 years of IT experience with over eight years working directly for Veeam®. Based in Mesa, AZ, she supported both commercial and public sector customers in the desert region, spanning from New Mexico to Hawaii. She helps customers work on their data protection and disaster recovery strategies for the ever-changing modern datacenter. She is a graduate of Arizona State University, and holds certifications in AWS, VMware and Veeam.

Meet Aaron Sawchuk

Senior Vice President of Data Center and Cloud BD

Aaron D. Sawchuk is the Senior Vice President of Data Center and Cloud BD at FirstLight. In this role Aaron is focused on continuing to grow FirstLight’s Data Center and Cloud business in all of the markets we operate. Prior to joining FirstLight Aaron was the co-founder and chairman of ColoSpace, a leading provider of data center and cloud services in New England. At ColoSpace Aaron set and helped implement the overall technology and product development strategy at ColoSpace, focusing on building highly-available IT services that add significant value to customer operations. Aaron brings extensive experience in the IT-services and Internet Networking space, having spent more than twenty-five years founding and leading technology firms in New England. Aaron earned a degree in Economics from Middlebury College.

Meet Richard F. Rossi

Cybersecurity Advisor, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Rick Rossi is the Cybersecurity Advisor (CSA) for New Hampshire (Region 1), within the Integrated Operations Division, Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). CISA established ten regional offices across the country to improve the delivery of the department’s services to critical infrastructure owners and operators and state, local, tribal, and territorial partners. CSAs are the front-facing cyber experts supporting regional operations capabilities. Region 1 includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Mr. Rossi transitioned to CISA in 2021 as the first Cybersecurity Advisor for New Hampshire. In this capacity, he has leveraged his many previous federal, state, local, and private sector relationships within the state and region to further develop cyber risk mitigation efforts in New Hampshire.

Mr. Rossi earned a bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Massachusetts Boston, a Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, and also holds a Certificate in Legislative Studies from the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University. He currently maintains active GCIH, GCTI, and CEH industry certifications, and is a member of the GIAC Advisory Board and InfraGard New Hampshire Advisory Committee.

Meet Rick Vanover

Rick Vanover is an expert in intelligent data management. In his role at Veeam, Rick sits at the crossroads of many types of storage. Whether it is storage systems, critical application data, data in the cloud or data anywhere in between; Rick has experience in the data management practice as IT practices change with new technologies.

Meet Ed Koehler

Distinguished Principal Engineer, Office of the CTO, Extreme Networks

Ed Koehler has been in the communications and networking industry for more than 20 years. He served as a Senior Technology Architect for R&D within the CTO division of Nortel. His area specialties are IPv6, Multicast, Digital Identity and Network Security, as well as voice and video communications and data Science. He has several patents in these areas. Ed joined Extreme in August of 2010 as a Senior Data Solutions Architect specializing in virtualized data centers and associated technologies including compute and storage. Ed was instrumental in the development of some of the core technology used in IEEE 802.1aq “Shortest Path Bridging.”

Meet Mark Kouyoumjian

Technical Solutions Architect, Cisco

Mark Kouyoumjian is a Technical Solutions Architect at Cisco Systems with over 20 years of experience in designing IP networks, working to help Service Providers and Enterprises adapt to constantly changing environments. For the last 5 years, Mark has been working with Managed Service Providers designing SDWAN and SASE solutions leveraging Cisco technologies with some additional focus on network automation and observability. Mark holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Nova / Southeastern University and multiple industry certifications including a CCIE from Cisco Systems.

He has over 15 years of experience in cloud services and telecommunications, developing solutions to meet the needs of SMB and enterprise accounts. Rob believes that technology is an engine for companies to become more productive, and he seeks to create solutions that can help companies transform their business through adoption of cloud and communication solutions.

Meet Gary Miliefsky

Cyber-security Expert

The CEO of Cyber Defense Media Group and publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine, he is a cyber-security and breach prevention expert and frequent invited guest on national and international media, commenting on mobile privacy, cyber security, cyber crime and cyber terrorism. He has appeared on ABC, CBS, Fox News, CNN, and has been quoted in Fortune and Forbes magazines. Miliefsky is a Founding Member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Information Security Group and other data security organizations. He also assisted the National Infrastructure Advisory Council (NIAC), which operates within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in their development of The National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace as well as the Center for the Study of Counter-Terrorism and Cyber Crime at Norwich University. Meet Dean L. Campbell

Chief Technology Officer, LightRiver

With LightRiver since 2004, as Chief Technology Officer, Dean is responsible for the development of LightRiver’s product and technology solutions portfolio, translating complex solutions into clear value propositions relevant to LightRiver markets. He leads the Pre-sales Engineering and the Project Management teams and maintains technical relationships with LightRiver’s vendor partners. Throughout his career, Dean’s focus on technology as an enabler has always been paired with the recognition that the human side of the equation is equally important.

Dean brings over 20 years of IT management, software applications development, and large-scale data-networking experience to LightRiver, has held leadership roles across the technology value chain, and was a pioneer in the development of E-commerce infrastructures, working with established and start-up organizations.

Dean holds a BA in Computer Sciences from Rutgers University, as well as multiple technology certifications including, but not limited to, Carrier Ethernet Professional and PMP Project Management.

Shawn Noonan has been with Veeam for 18 month and previously held positions selling Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions to Fortune 1000 companies. For 20 years he has been an account executive in and around the tri-state area.  He currently helps Service providers create service offerings based on Veeam solutions.

Meet Patrick Scully

Director of Product Line Management

Patrick Scully, P. Eng., MBA, has been involved in the research and development of optical network solutions for 20 years. In his current role as Director of Product Line Management in the Networking Platforms Division at Ciena, his area of expertise is focused around the architecture of packet optical networks and the development and introduction of network security and media solutions addressing the needs of enterprises and service providers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and a master’s degree in business administration (international affairs) from University of Ottawa.

Meet Patrick Coughlin

Chief Development Officer

Mr. Coughlin joined FirstLight in February, 2013 and currently serves as its Chief Development Officer, where is he is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate development, including M&A, business development, market expansion, corporate strategy and innovation as well as marketing and product management on behalf of the organization. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Fibertower. From 2005-2009, he served as Vice President of Sales at RCN Metro (formerly NEON Communications and Globix Corporation), where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the entire U.S. and oversaw a sales team comprised of 55 people. Prior to that position, he served as Senior Director of Sales at NEON from October 2001 until December 2005. Mr. Coughlin also served as a Senior Account Executive with NEON and other telecommunications companies, including AT&T and USTelecenters, during which time he was recognized for being a leading sales contributor for major accounts.

Mr. Coughlin holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
